MNF Week 2: Predictions and Bets

Sports Opinion by Ethan Irish and Josh Blatt
This week we have 2 Monday Night Football matchups with Tennessee Titans @ Buffalo Bills and Minnesota Vikings @ Philadelphia Eagles. The favorites currently are the Bills -10 and the Eagles -2.5.
One of the headlines going into tonight's games is Kirk Cousins abysmal record in MNF games. He is currently 2-9 and going into Philadelphia for the Eagles home opener. The Vikings are coming off a season opening win vs divisional rival Green Bay Packers. In the other game the Bills are coming off of 10 days of rest after obliterating the Los Angeles Rams in TNF week 1.
Ethan's Take:
Game: Minnesota Vikings @ Philadelphia Eagles (-2.5)
I think a lot of people like the Vikings line after beating the Packers in week 1. I'm on the other side of this game Minnesota has a road prime time game sandwiched inbetween two divisional opponent games at home (week 1 vs. Green Bay, week 3 vs. Detroit). Recognizing that the Vikings may be looking ahead slightly I do like the Eagles to win and cover their -2.5 line. I also think that the line is overrating the Vikings slightly. Yes they beat Green Bay in week 1, but the Packers are not the same juggernaut this year compared to how they usually are. It also was the first game for Aaron Rodgers without Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling at the wide receiver position. Another point is that the Eagles went into Detroit week 1 where the score was not exactly representative of the how the game was, the Eagles were up 38-21 going into the 4th quarter.
Bet: Eagles -2.5 (-115) (Caesars Sportsbook)
Game: Tennessee Titans @ Buffalo Bills (-10)
In the other game, I am avoiding the spread completely. Too many points for the Titans even if they aren't as good as they were last year and the Bills beating the defending Super Bowl Champion Rams in week 1. This game is strange and I probably will avoid it completely in terms of bets but I do think the Titans will give the Bills a game. I just don't see any value on the board as of now. I may add something live during the game if it catches my attention.

Josh's Take:
Game: Minnesota Vikings @ Philadelphia Eagles (-2.5)
Personally, this is the less exciting betting wise of the two games, I truly believe that the Vikings will win, but after this weekend— I’m not too sure if I know anything. We’ve had a lot of games that ended up being random; Colts @ Jaguars and Commanders @ Lions namely. I see both teams potentially exploding offensively with the opportunity of a high scoring affair. Then again, Minnesota only gave up 7 points in total en route to a win against the division rival Green Bay Packers last week. Comparatively, the Philadelphia Eagles gave up 35 points in a close win against the Detroit Lions. Again, I see offensive fireworks coming from both teams. Especially the charged up Vikings.
Bet: Kirk Cousins o1.5 Passing TDs (-186) (Fanduel)
Game: Tennessee Titans @ Buffalo Bills (-10)
I see this as an easy “just wrap it up already” victory for the Buffalo Bills, as they just came off of a big win against the defending champion Los Angeles Rams— but also as a “prove-it” game for the Tennessee Titans. I’m definitely staying away from the spread in this game, and I think I’ll go with the old reliable Josh Allen Anytime Scorer bet and just pray he makes it to the endzone. I don’t expect much from this game to be honest, and I don’t expect this to be one that I’m up late for. I would personally stay away from most of the betting action tonight.
Bet: Josh Allen Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+125) (Fanduel)
